Record of Birde Ydses of 17th century Akkrum

Bericht door sbarnhoorn » zaterdag 25 sep 2021 6:05 am

Hi:

I am trying to locate contemporaneous records of Birde Ydses of 17th-century Akkrum. A post on this forum from March 2008 shows: "Birde Ydses - x wrsch < 1620, in 1640 Akkrum SC 43." I have no idea what this means.

If someone could shed some light on what records/documents this person appeared in, I would sincerely appreciate it very much.

Gratitude and regards in advance.

In the meantime, the following family structure was presented:

Birde Ydses:
knd:
*Ids Birdes x Sij Botes Nijdam
*Siebren Birdes x Aafke Botes Nijdam: 3 zn 5 dr: Reinu, Nieske, Gertie, Suike, Frouck
*Wlck Birdes x Jan Gerryts x 1645, beiden Irnsum
>>> Birde Oenes x Jeltje Jelles 1694 - wed. in 1728 gebr SC 19 Grouw, eig. Nieske Idzes

Hi,
Birde Ydses - x wrsch < 1620, in 1640 Akkrum SC 43
means: married (x) probably before 1620, [wrsch is the abbreviation of waarschijnlijk]
and owns in 1640 Vote 43 Akkrum.

SC = StemCohier. Register of votes.
www.allefriezen.nl has the data from StemCohieren 1689 en 1728,
www.hisigis.nl has the data from StemCohier 1640.

In my own notes I found:
uses stem 42 Grouw in 1640.

Furthermore I have parents:
Eetse Johaensz born ca. 1565 married unknown girl Ottes
< Otte Rommerts married Tyall Hotses.
In 1613 (RA IDA C1 102) Eetse Johaenz, mede vanwege de andere erfgenamen van Otte Rommerts en Tyall Hotsedr, contra Douwe Jetses c.s.
Siblings:
Tabe Itses x Jantien Mirx ca. 1620. xx Antie Jans 1642
Hil Itses x Outger Alberts - 1636
Otto Itses x ca. 1630 Antie Bouwes
Tjalling Itses x Yd Johannes 1656 (Married earlier N.N.?- SC 1640 Tialling Edses met vrouw stem 22 Akkrum)
Johaen Itses x Popck Leukes 1656
Rioerd Itses x N.N.
Greetings, Margreet.

I cannnot read it very well.
My notes and the hisgis now say "user" not "owner".
SC 42 is on scan 80 - SC 47 (Otto and Ruurd Idses) is on scan 83,
but I don't see them there either.
Simon Wierstra places Birde on stem 10, but I don not see him there.
Hisgis even has a Jan Idses user on SC 37 (maybe Johaen Idses?)

Strange.
I'm also starting to doubt if these scans are from an original book.
The writings above the columns are not consistent - they vary between:
Eijgenaars - Bruquers [=gebruikers =users]
Eijgenaars - Meijers
Bruquers - Eijgenaars
Eijgenaars 1640 - Eijgenaars 1698
Clooster meijer - Eijgenaars 1698

I have no idea what kind of book this could be.

I trust the Hisgis more than the scans of the mormons.
In 1640 they didn't know they were going to write down the data of 1698 as well,
so why already keep space?
And why not 4 columns?
Why suddenly nameless "clooster meijer"?

I trust the Hisgis more than the scans of the mormons.
Where on Hisgis can I find the information? I am not finding anything but general stuff but no specifics links to scans or anything.

Thanks.

There are no scans in Hisgis.
But I think their data are from the original registers.

By https://www.geneaknowhow.net/digi/bronnen.html
> Friesland
I found this book, a typed version, not the written one:
Provincie Friesland, stemkohiers 1640 en 1698 [PDF] betreft Utingeradeel, Aengwirden, Doniawerstal, Haskerland, Schoterland en Lemsterland

https://books.google.nl/books?id=n9otXy ... &q&f=false

Here also variation, first some pages 1640, then the same farms in 1698
then again some pages 1640, followed by the same farms in 1698.

Birde Ydses is on page 68, followed by the situation in 1698.
Otto and Ruird Idses are on page 70.

Thanks, Margreet. Strange Familysearch didn't contain the entries but the book does. Makes me wonder if the scans on Familysearch are not from the original records?

In the meantime, I turned this book up. My apologies for the long hyperlink. Please take a look at page 329. Unsure what to make of it:

Again, my gratitude.

Somewhre round 1580 the catholic religion was forbidden and the possessions of the monasteries were confiscated.
Round 1640 they were sold.
This list tries to identify the lands of the monasteries in de Boornestreek, i.e. also around Akkrum, which monastery and where they were located.

They try this through selling documents (deeds) from 1638, 1639, 1640 and 1644.
In those documents were also named the users of the land, the size, and the taxes.
They compare them with the "Register of monastery possessions and outcomes" in the year 1606/1607 and with StemCohier 1640, and FloreenCohier 1642.

So in year 1639 - deed 203 - Focke Abes is named as user.
They then guess it is the same property, where Birde is in SC 1640 -
by comparing taxes ( hence sizes) - but are not absolutely sure.

Greetings, Margreet.

kloosterdomeinen bekend is.
